Cheltenham Literature Fest here, at The Daffodil.
For ten days every Autumn, Cheltenham becomes the home of The Times and The Sunday Times, Literature Festival. Every literary lover’s dream, we welcome over 600 of the world’s finest writers, actors, politicians, poets and leading opinion formers all ready to share experiences, lessons and views. Established in 1949, the Cheltenham Literature Festival is one of the oldest of its kind in the world and certainly an event not to be missed.
What do we have on?
We’re lucky enough to host many fantastic acts at this year’s festival, including 2015 bake off winner Nadiya Hussain, Master Chef judge John Torode and OBE Joanna Trollope. With a cast diverse in experience and profession, you’ll be able to delve into the lives and experiences of some of the most influential people in Britain. We’re host to many events with the focus on ‘East meets West,’ one of the popular themes of this year’s festival. Focusing on the far east, this programme is packed with fascinating insights and flavours from Asia’s street food culture, the importance of texture in food and (most importantly) unearthing Japanese whisky traditions.
#CheltLitFest is the perfect place to, learn something new, enjoy fabulous performances of spoken word and engage with your beautiful surroundings. Luckily, there is still chance to get your hands on tickets for some of this year’s events. Get them here, whilst you can!
