May at The Daffodil

We have an exciting schedule for the month of May at The Daffodil. We of course have to share our jam-packed Jazz shows which are on every Saturday afternoon, 12.30 – 3.30pm and every Monday evening. You can also enjoy two for one Martinis every Monday evening from 6pm onwards.

Saturday afternoon, 7th May: Sheila Waterfield Trio (
We’re delighted to welcome award-winning vocalist, Sheila Waterfield. “A beautifully warm & expressive voice”.

Monday evening 9th May: Abi K and the Roadsters
Our resident American bassist Tom Hill brings his latest line up to the Daffodil, featuring bright new vocal star, Abi Kelsey, Lee Jones on guitar & Nick Millward on drums.

Saturday afternoon 14th May: John-Paul Avant Gard Trio (
The brilliant Hammond organist, John-Paul Gard is back! Inspired by Jimmy Smith, Jimmy McGriff & Joey DeFrancesco.

Monday evening 16th May: Roy Forbes Quartet
If you like Nat King Cole, you’ll love Roy Forbes! Collaborator with Andy Hamilton, Dudu Pukwana, Spike Robinson, Jean Toussaint & many more. A sumptuous voice that enchants.

Saturday afternoon 21st May: Feliks Tabis Trio
We are pleased to welcome back violinist, Feliks Tabis, with his super-swinging trio with piano and double bass. Another great opportunity for Stephane Grappelli fans to get happy!

Monday evening 23rd May: Sarah Smith Quartet (
Gypsy jazz with authentic passion, fire & virtuosity. We’re delighted to welcome back international jazz violinist, Sarah Smith, one of the most exciting jazz violinists on the jazz scene today.

Saturday afternoon 28th May: Cathy Jones' Trio Balança (
Superb Trio Balança takes inspiration from jazz & Brazilian music, inspired by Jobim, Gilberto, Hermeto Pascoal & Pat Metheny.

Monday evening 30th May: Esta B Daley Quartet (
A welcome return to the wonderful, award-winning vocalist, Esta B Daley. Winner of the worldwide Jazz FM Pure Solo vocal award, she’s worked with Cleveland Watkiss, Snake Davis, Jim Mullen & many more.

We are blessed with not one but two bank holidays in May! On Monday 30th May our lovely neighbours are hosting The Suffolks Street Fair so we will be opening the doors from midday - 4pm for Afternoon Tea and serving our Bar Menu, available to dine at the bar or takeaway, before our usual dinner service.

Our ‘Curtain Raiser’ menu is now available Monday – Friday between 5pm – 6.30pm bring you a great value taster of the mouth-watering food The Daffodil has to offer. Get two courses for only £13.95 or three course s for £15.95.

We are still continuing with our much-loved weekly offers including Friday Fizz; half price on selected Champagne & sparkling wines between 6-8pm every Friday; Martini Mondays where we will mix you one free Martini with everyone you buy from 6pm each Monday; plus our famous Afternoon Tea served Friday & Saturdays between 2.30-5pm.
